San Francisco Business Times - by Patrick Twohy

Some fifty Bay Area projects have been certified by the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program since the beginning of the year — including the San Francisco Giants' stadium.

AT&T Park, which got silver LEED status in March, comes in at 1.25 million square feet. Not far behind that in size is 425 Market St., which achieve gold status in April for its just over 1 million square feet.

A total of 10 Bay Area projects received LEED platinum ratings, the highest rating the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program awards. Some 22 Bay Area projects received LEED gold ratings this year, according to data from the U.S. Green Building Council.
